節日學音樂：聖誕歌介紹: The Twelve Days of Christmas
聖誕節轉眼又到了，每年這個時候我們總會反覆的聽一些聖誕歌曲，The Twelve Days of Christmas 是其中一首很多人喜愛的聖誕歌。
The Twelve days of Christmas 是一首英國傳統的聖誕民謠，它是講述從聖誕節（25/12）那天起開始計12天，一直至到1月5日，故事中的主角每天都會收到她的摯愛的一份令人驚喜的聖誕禮物， 包括：一隻在梨子樹上的鷓鴣丶二隻斑鳩丶三隻法國來的母雞、四隻會歌唱的小鳥丶五隻金戒指、六隻鵝在下蛋丶七隻天鵝在游泳丶八個女傭在擠奶丶九個淑女在跳舞丶十個天神在跳躍丶十一個笛手在吹笛丶十二個鼓手在打鼓。這是一首「累歌」cumulative song，意思是歌詞會一路累積上去，每一句會在前一句歌詞的基礎上添加新的元素，成為新的歌詞；每段唱了新歌詞後，然後又會反複唱詠之前的歌詞。所以當這首歌歌詞重複了十二後，就會學懂唱全首啊！
這首歌是在1780年在英國出版，起初這首歌只有歌詞，沒有音樂，也有人說它起源於法國。 到了1909年英國作曲家Frederic Austin以傳統民歌的旋律為這歌詞編曲，就成了現在這首樂曲，後來更發展了很多不同的版本，流傳至今，成為家傳戶曉的聖誕音樂。
